Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a distinguished chair in psychology within the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized as a pioneer in the field of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the legal setting. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and has been the recipient of numerous awards both national and internationally. She has offered policy and research consultations for numerous government agencies and departments from all over the world. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
